PHYSICALS:  In accordance with New York State regulations, student physical examinations are required for all students in grades K, 1,3, 5, 7, 9 and 11, as well as all new students.  When you take your child for their annual wellness check-up, please ensure that you and your pediatrician are completing/submitting the NYSED form to the school nurse: School Health Examination Form 

Technology Issues:  Please turn Chromebooks on and do any updates that are prompted.  If you have issues with your Chromebook that you cannot troubleshoot from home, please fill out our student service desk form at https://lhric.service-now.com/student.  If you are having trouble that is not device related, please contact the main office at 845-620-3850.

  • New Asst. Supt. for Business Appointed 8/21

    August 21, 2024

    Dear Pearl River School District Community,

    We are pleased to announce that at last evening’s (August 20) Board of Education meeting, Lillian Gutierrez Rinchiera, Ed. D. was appointed to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Business, effective September 25, 2024. Dr. Rinchiera brings over 20 years of experience to the District - having previously served as Director of Financial Services & District Treasurer in the South Orangetown Central School District; Chief Information and Data Privacy Officer in the Suffern Central School District; and, Chief Information Officer in the Harrison Central School District and in the South Orangetown Central School District. Prior to entering public education, she spent 15 years working in the financial technology field. Dr. Rinchiera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Math and Computer Science from New York University (NYU); a Master of Business Administration in Management of Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business; and, a Doctor of Education
    in Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy from Fordham University. In addition, she earned her New York State School District Business Leader certification from Long Island University. 

    With a strong background in educational administration, data management, finance and operations,
    I am confident that Dr. Rinchiera will work effectively with District and building administrators, as well as various stakeholders, to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. I look forward to having
    Dr. Rinchiera join our District Administration team during the start of the 2024-25 school year!

  • 2024-25 School-Aged Childcare for PRSD Elementary Students

    The Rockland County YMCA announces Open Registration for school-aged childcare serving Pearl River School District students for the 2024-25 school year.  

    Before- and after-school childcare services will be provided for all three elementary schools at Franklin Avenue Elementary.  Students attending Evans Park Elementary and Lincoln Avenue Elementary will be transported to their respective schools in the morning and transported to Franklin Avenue Elementary in the afternoon.  Registration is on a first-come first served basis with priority given to children needing care five days a week.

  • COVID-19 At-Home Tests & CDC Guidelines

    Pearl River School District no longer has access to at-home test kits that we can supply to our parents. However, the federal government has made additional COVID tests available directly to families - please visit https://www.covid.gov/tests for more details. There are also CDC Guidelines posted for those individuals who are sick with COVID or are suffering with COVID-like symptoms.
